HARRISBURG, PA — The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) is pleased to announce the awarding of the Faerie L. Angle Memorial Scholarship Fund, amounting to $40,000 over two years, to Ansel Childers, a dedicated law student now interning in Franklin County. The Faerie L. Angle Memorial Scholarship Fund has awarded $270,000 since 2017 to support young persons from Franklin County, Pennsylvania, entering their first, second, or third year of a J.D. Program with the intent to become a lawyer after graduation.

Faerie L. Angle was the widow of Roy S.F. Angle, Attorney-at-Law. Her Last Will and Testament provided for the creation of a Law School Educational Trust Fund, which provides scholarships for young persons from Franklin County, Pennsylvania, studying to be lawyers. TFEC celebrates Ms. Angle’s generosity and strives to be good stewards of her legacy.

Scholarship recipient, Ansel, is currently in his second year at Penn State Dickinson Law in Carlisle, PA. He is interning at R. Thomas Murphy & Associates, P.C., located in Chambersburg and Waynesboro. His supervising attorney Tom Murphy praised him by stating, “Ansel consistently demonstrates dedication to both clients and staff, positively interacting and reassuring them during stressful times.”

Ansel’s commitment to his legal studies and his practical experience at the law firm exemplify the values and aspirations that the Faerie L. Angle Memorial Scholarship Fund seeks to support.

“TFEC is honored to facilitate this scholarship and looks forward to seeing Ansel’s future accomplishments in the legal field,” said TFEC President and CEO Jennifer Doyle

After completing his law degree, Ansel plans to specialize in Elder Law and Estate Planning to continue making a positive impact on Franklin County and the South Central PA Community.
