HARRISBURG, Pa. (September 20, 2021) –The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) announced the Faerie L. Angle Memorial Scholarship Fund will award $45,000 over several years to one Franklin County resident studying to become a lawyer. The Faerie L. Angle Memorial Scholarship Fund has awarded over $170,000 since 2017 to support young persons from Franklin County, Pa., entering their first, second, or third year of a J.D. Program with the intent to become a lawyer after graduation.
Mr. Jordan Manahan from Chambersburg, Pa. and is in his first year of law school at Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida. For the past four years, beginning when he was a high school student, Jordan has interned at the law office of Dana Hadigian in Hagerstown, Md. Jordan will focus on environmental law, with hopes of integrating public education of the law into his legal career.
Faerie L. Angle was the widow of Roy S.F. Angle, Attorney-at-Law. Her Last Will and Testament provided for the creation of a Law School Educational Trust Fund, which provides scholarships for young persons from Franklin County, Pa., studying to be lawyers. TFEC celebrates Ms. Angle’s generosity and strives to be good stewards of her legacy.

Students can access and submit their applications through TFEC’s online portal beginning January 1, 2022. The application for funding for the 2022-2023 academic year closes on June 1, 2022.
