The Women’s Fund is only able to help women and girls through the generosity of our Dream Team. The Dream Team is an amazing collective philanthropy project, and hundreds of women have joined this group, as we work toward obtaining 1,000 members.
Our dreams can manifest in many ways, and life can lead us full circle as we engage in our community. One Dream Team member, Robyn Holder, owner of Full Circle Vitality Group, recently had a dream realized when her daughter, Mary Kate Holder Grimes and daughter-in-law, April Holder, were gifted with Dream Team memberships at last year’s Power of the Purse event. This is hopefully the beginning of many more family Dream Team members.
Mary Kate started this circle of giving when she invited Robyn to join her at the Women’s Fund Annual Grantee Recognition Breakfast – their first time attending a Women’s Fund event. Mary Kate had participated in TFEC’s Emerging Philanthropist Program several years ago, and after graduating was invited to attend the breakfast. Robyn tagged along, and after hearing of the wonderful and amazing things the Women’s Fund does, she joined the Dream Team and eventually chose to extend her generosity to the Sustain Level of giving. Expanding her involvement by becoming a Women’s Fund Advisory Committee member, Robyn completed a circle of generosity, caring, and community involvement. Like her company’s name, the Holder family has come full circle.
“I like the focus on organizations with women and girls, and that the Dream Team helps multiple organizations with the same demographic,” states Mary Kate. “To see my mom get involved made the Dream Team a ‘no brainer’ for me to join. Looking at all the wonderful women who are members tells me it must be a great team to be a part of!”
April passionately states, “I want my little boys to grow up in a culture that empowers girls and women, so I wanted to set an example by joining.”
