The Mechanicsburg Area Public Library Book Fund was established in 2000 with a bequest from George S. Higginbotham. The income is to be used to purchase books. Mr. Higginbotham and his wife Florence were avid readers and loyal library patrons. He created this endowment as a meaningful way for his wife and himself to be remembered.
