The Emerging Philanthropists Program (EPP) will be hosting the 7th Annual Harrisburg Hoopla on Saturday, June 7, 2025. It will be a full-day event consisting of teams competing in various events such as physical games (individual and teams) and puzzle-type games. Each team will represent a local nonprofit organization of their choice and compete to donate a portion of the event’s proceeds to that nonprofit! A portion of the event’s proceeds will also benefit the Emerging Philanthropist Fund at TFEC.

Event Participant Registration – $45 

Price increases to $55 on May 1, 2025. 

 

Games will include:  Megablox Team Puzzle, Tic Tac Toe Relay, Volleyball, Ski Board Team Race, Dizzy Bat Relay Race, Circle Dodgeball, Pickle, Cornhole

 

Schedule:

Registration Opens: 9:30 a.m.

Opening Ceremony: 10:00 a.m.

Games Begin: 10:30 a.m.

Estimated End of Games: 4:30 p.m.

  • HARRISBURG HOOPLA WEATHER PROTOCOL

  • Harrisburg Hoopla will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather or other conditions that may affect the safety and health of participants, event officials reserve the right to delay, postpone or cancel the event. We work with local law enforcement to be sure conditions are safe for participants. The decision on cancellation will be made whenever possible, no later than 12 hours prior to the event. Weather delays or cancellations will be posted on Harrisburg Hoopla Facebook Page All registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

  • ALL PARTICIPANTS NEED TO BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER

  • PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE FORM

  • In consideration of being permitted by The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC), The Emerging Philanthropist Program (EPP), and any other event partners and sponsors (collectively “Sponsors”), to participate in the Harrisburg Hoopla (the “Event”), I hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damage for personal injury, death, or property damage which I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me, as a result of participation in activities at the Event. This release is intended to discharge in advance the Sponsors, their Board of Directors, their officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with my participation in the Event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of those parties. It is understood that activities such as the ones I will be participating in involve an element of risk and danger of accidents and injuries, up to and including death, and knowing those risks, I hereby assume those risks. It is further agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is binding on my heirs and assigns. I agree to indemnify and to hold harmless the Sponsors, their Board of Directors, their officers, employees, and agents from any loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense which they may incur as a result of my death or any injury or property damage that I may sustain while participating in any activity at the Event.

    I consent to the use of any photo images taken by the Sponsors’ staff and their agents during this activity to be used in any or all Sponsor publications and websites.

    I acknowledge that the Event may be recorded in audio, visual, and/or audiovisual media and I consent to the making and use of such recordings by the Sponsors or their licensees for any purpose. I release the Sponsors and its licensees from and waive any claims related to or arising by reason of the making and/or use of any such recordings or photographs. I grant the Sponsors the right to use my name and likeness in connection with the use of the recordings and photographs.

    I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT BETWEEN MYSELF AND THE FOUNDATION FOR ENHANCING COMMUNITIES, AND THE EMERGING PHILANTHROPIST PROGRAM AND I ACCEPT IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
