By now many of you know that our dear friend, Karen Snider, passed last week.
Karen helped many people during her career, serving as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, CEO of Northwestern Human Services, and as the founder of Susquehanna Consulting and Financial Group, as well as Executive Director of the Harrisburg Public Schools Foundation.
She was heavily involved with the community,and active with The Foundation for Enhancing Communities as a member of our board, as well as a member of the Women’s Fund executive committee. She also gave her time to the United Way, the Rotary Club of Harrisburg, Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, YWCA of Greater Harrisburg, and Homeland Center.
Karen will be greatly missed by the community and by those who knew her. Our community was a better place because of her.
