Networking & Immersive Experience
You are invited to celebrate the rich and beautiful Asian American stories through a photo telling experience. In sharing these stories, we hope to create visibility, empathy, connection, and community.
Since 2020, incidents of anti-Asian hate have increased by 339%. In response, members of HAAPI, a grassroots organization of Harrisburg Asian American Pacific Islanders, found a way to use the power of visibility to combat hate and foster understanding.
Members collected stories and coupled them with portraits of the storytellers to capture the rich tapestry of the Harrisburg AAPI community. The resulting exhibition, Portraits of Identity: Harrisburg AAPI Narratives Through the Lens, uses storytelling and photography to explore the depth and breadth of AAPI stories and create an experience where they are seen, heard, and celebrated.
Refreshments will be provided. Please note this event is invite only.

One Million Strong
Shaping the Future of Women & Girls
Empowering women drives transformative change in society. Nonprofits play a crucial role by offering essential services and advocating for social progress. Organizations focused on women and girls tackle unique challenges and create safe spaces. At TFEC, we partner with these nonprofits to build a brighter, equitable future for generations to come.
We have made remarkable progress toward our $1 million permanent endowment. With only $250,000 remaining, we stand on the brink of a monumental achievement: becoming One Million Strong. An endowed gift lasts forever, with investment returns inspiring change in our community for generations. Endowments empower donors and nonprofits to create a stable funding source and invest in a brighter future for women and girls. Together, we can achieve this dream and stand One Million Strong.
The enduring impact of an endowment is truly inspiring. By attending One Million Strong, your contribution—along with future investment returns—becomes a lasting source of support for local nonprofits. By joining us at the event, you are creating real, long-term change that empowers women and girls in our community to reach their full potential.
Your gift today helps us achieve the $1 million endowment milestone, ensuring that women and girls in Central PA have the opportunity to pursue their dreams. By reaching this goal, TFEC will be able to grant over $1.5 million to local nonprofits that support women and girls over the next 25 years.
Your investment today ensures you remain part of a transformative legacy that grows stronger with each generation.
