TFEC Early Education Scholarship Fund

This scholarship provides opportunities to eligible Pre-K students ages 3 to 5 years old to attend an early learning center or preschool program located in Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon, and Perry Counties as well as the Dillsburg area of Northern York County. Students must be enrolled in an early learning center or preschool program by September. The early learning center or preschool program must provide a minimum of two hours of instructional and developmental activities per day. Scholarships will be awarded up to $4,000 per child per year. Preference will be given to children who will be 5 years old and eligible to enroll in Kindergarten.

If the preschool center you plan to enroll your child in is not currently on this list OR if you manage a preschool center and you are not currently listed, please reach out to our Early Education Specialists at earlyeducation@tfec.org to see if it is eligible to be added. All programs are vetted by our Early Education Specialists.

No centers can be added after June 1st.

Criteria

  1. Resident of Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon, Perry or the Dillsburg area of Northern York Counties
  2. Household income may not exceed 300% of poverty guidelines as established by the US Department of Health and Human Click here to see specifics.
  3. Enrolled or plans to enroll in an approved quality early learning center or Click here for a complete listing of approved quality early learning centers and preschools.
  4. Most recent Tax Return.
  5. Proof of child care subsidy award.
  6. Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application

Renewability

This scholarship is a one-time only award. However, if still eligible and denied in previous years, a family can re-apply.
