LISTO Scholarship Fund

This scholarship will recognize one graduating high school senior annually who is also a graduate of the Latino Hispanic American Community Center’s Leadership Institute Star Training Opportunities Program (LISTO). Participants in the LISTO program take part in a unique eight-week learning experience that develops their skills and abilities in the areas of career planning (future direction, college application process, financial aid resources, mentors); financial skills (budgeting for the future, credit scores, homeownership, entrepreneurship); workforce development (interviewing, resume building, work skills, job readiness), and related concepts designed to positively impact participant’s individual personal growth, life skills, and future goals.

Criteria

  1. Graduating high school senior who is also a LISTO graduate
  2. Full time attendance at a four-year college or university, two-year college or university, trade or tech school, or certificate program
  3. Essay of 300 words or less: How has the LISTO program prepared you for life beyond high school?
  4. Financial need
  5. Self-identifies as being Latino Hispanic
  6. Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.
