McInroy-Sheffer People Trust Scholarship

The McInroy-Sheffer People Trust Fund is for students who graduated or will be graduating from a high school in one of the following Pennsylvania Counties:  Cumberland, Dauphin, Lycoming, Tioga or York; and who will be enrolled as a freshman during the upcoming school year.  Students must also be enrolled in one of the following schools and studying or planning to study one of the subject areas below. These subject areas are meant to be broad categories and comprised of a number of different specific eligible majors.

Criteria

  1. Graduate or graduating senior from a high school in Cumberland, Dauphin, Lycoming, Tioga, or York county 
  2. Enrolled or planning to enroll as a freshman during the upcoming school year 
  3. Planning to attend one of the schools listed above and study one of the subjects specified 
  4. Financial need 
  5. Essay
  6. Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.

Essay

Describe how you are preparing for your life goals. Include information on how your past experiences (work, volunteering, vacations, etc.) have prepared you for entering into your chosen major. 200 words maximum.

Renewability

This scholarship is a one-time only award.
