Morris Auto Parts, in honor of its 101st anniversary, has funded a scholarship for motivated students in automotive trade programs to participate in competitions such as SkillsUSA and other such competitions like it.

Scholarship FAQ

Criteria

  1. Students in grades 9-12 from high schools or technical schools in Philadelphia County
  2. Students attending trade or technical schools in Philadelphia County
  3. Students must live in Philadelphia County
  4. Desire to attend a county, state, regional or national competition (individual or team) such as SkillsUSA in automotive fields (paint & body, service, refinishing, maintenance, light repair)
  5. Essay
  6. Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.

Essay

Write a 300-word essay discussing what excites you most about the automotive industry.

Renewability

Recipients of this scholarship may apply again for up to 3 consecutive years. Students must submit a full application but may be prompted to complete a different essay.
