Oliver Rosenberg Educational Trust

The Ollie Rosenberg Educational Trust Fund is used to assist students with business, technical, or trade school tuition expenses. This scholarship fund was established in memory of Ollie to carry on his quiet tradition of helping others to reach their education and professional goals, particularly in the areas of business, trade, or technical training. The Ollie Rosenberg Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to graduating seniors from Harrisburg High School, Sci-Tech High, Bishop McDevitt, and Dauphin County Technical School.

Criteria

  1. Graduating seniors from Harrisburg High School, Sci-Tech High, Bishop McDevitt, or Dauphin County Technical School 
  2. Students must attend a college/university in Pennsylvania 
  3. Students must have a job 
  4. Students must have a Pennsylvania student loan 
  5. Extracurricular and/or non-academic activities 
  6. Financial need 
  7. Essay
  8. Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.

Essay

Explain how you have overcome the challenges in your life and how you will apply those lessons to your vocation. Essay should be titled, 300 words maximum.

Renewability

Recipients of this scholarship may apply again for one additional consecutive year. Students must submit a full application but may be prompted to complete a different essay.
