Sam Mizrahi Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Sam Mizrahi Memorial Fund was established to memorialize Sam Mizrahi, a student at Northern York High School who passed this life at age 16 on June 25, 2006, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He attended Northern High School as part of the class of 2008. Sam enjoyed life and brought excitement to every situation he encountered. He played club and middle school soccer, golf, earned a black belt in martial arts, and loved to ski. Sam worked as a cashier at Giant. Sam was an avid reader; Stephen King was his favorite author. From his early childhood Sam had a great interest in sports cars and superhero’s. Besides driving, some of his greatest joys came from listening to music, playing his guitar and video gaming. Sam attended diabetes camp since the age of 7 and had made the transition from camper to counselor. Sam was about 6 feet tall with a huge head of long curly hair… and a personality to match. Sam planned to attend college in California and become a successful lawyer to fund all of his expensive hobbies. To preserve Sam’s memory and perpetuate his giving spirit, this fund has been established to support students with a scholarship to a higher educational institution of their choice.
