University Center at Harrisburg Scholarship Fund

The University Center at Harrisburg, formerly the Harrisburg Area Center for Higher Education, was organized in 1958 with the purpose to supply a means of bringing college educational programs to the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area, designed to meet the academic and vocational needs of persons residing in central Pennsylvania. The University Center at Harrisburg Scholarship Fund was created to provide grants to deserving students who reside in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, Lebanon, or York counties.

Scholarship FAQ

Criteria

  1. Must reside in the counties of: Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, Lebanon or York
  2. Additional consideration will be given to non-traditional students
  3. Minimum GPA 2.0
  4. Full or Part time attendance at a Four Year, Two Year, Graduate school, Trade or Technical school or certificate program
  5. Financial need
  6. Essay
  7. Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.

Essay

Write a 300-word essay discussing how this scholarship will assist you in meeting challenges and provide you with opportunities for the future.

Renewability

Recipients of this scholarship may apply again with no limit to the number of times they can.  Students must submit a full application but may be prompted to complete a different essay.
